POSITION SUMMARY
The Industrial Electrician’s main role is to install, test, troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices and related equipment in a manufacturing environment.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and specifications in order to provide troubleshooting and repair services when needed.
  • Install, test, troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices and equipment.
  • Diagnose, locate the cause of, and repair malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance through inspection of electrical systems, equipment and components.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures.
  • Direct and train other workers and apprentices to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures.
  • Work on other electrical projects as required.
  • Assists other maintenance technicians.
  • Ensure all work performed adheres to all relevant organizational, provincial and federal safety regulations, codes and specifications.
  • Complete any other duties as assigned.

WHO YOU ARE
  • Proven people leader who drives results on the floor.
  • Strong experience with metal processing, heavy stamping or die casting.
  • Experience with electrical in an industrial manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient in PLC Programmable logic capabilities.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints and electrical code specifications.
  • Ability to install, maintain, test troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing environment/ industrial environment.
  • Independent problem solver who takes action.
  • Detail oriented and analytical thinking.
  • Strong skills in routine maintenance operations. 
  • Must be fully certified in 442A is preferred but will accept 309A with strong industrial manufacturing exposure/ experience.
WORK SCHEDULE AND LOCATION
  • Ability to work 12 hours continental shift schedule (Day & Night Shifts).
  • Plant Environment.
  • Exposure to loud noise.
  • Overtime as required.
COMPENSATION
  • Wage Rate $37.50- $41.95 per hour based on experience and certifications.
  • Eligible for overtime.
