We have an immediate opening for a Die Handler at our Brampton Plant.

What You'll do
  • Responsible to deliver the required dies to the presses based on work order sequence
  • Responsible to remove dies from the die carts in extrusion and load them into the caustic cycle to clean excess aluminum from the dies for future runs
  • Separate hollow and feeder dies
  • Process spent caustic tanks to the holding tank and prepare new tanks of caustic
  • Clean dies using water hose to remove any caustic build up
  • Load dies into the sandblaster, setting cycle times and turning dies over as required
  • Assemble and break down tooling
  • Use Epics system to retrieve and put dies away based on location
  • Maintain a safe and clean workspace at all times
  • Responsible to follow the Occupational Health and Safety Act and all Can Art Company Policies
What You Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a die handler or operator capacity
  • Previous experience in heavy manufacturing is an asset
  • Basic computer skills required
Required Skills
  • Must be able to read and write in English
  • Able to work at a quick pace with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational, time management and multitasking skills
  • Team player that is able to work with little to no supervision
  • Knowledge of health and safety best practices in a manufacturing environment
Working Conditions

  • Twelve hour rotating continental shift
  • Exposure to loud noise and heat
  • May be required to lift up to 50lbs
  • Overtime as needed
