We have an immediate opening for a Counterbalance Forklift Operator at our Brampton Extrusion Plant.

The Forklift Driver is responsible to move materials through the plant floor as required, ensuring that the production lines are fully stocked with materials and racks.
What You'll Be Doing
- Operate the counterbalance and combi lift to complete tasks
- Ensure forklift is safe and functioning correctly. Report any breakdowns or damages in a timely manner
- Support all production needs, i.e., bring materials or racks to the production line, move WIP to the appropriate location, and move packaged materials to the designated zones
- Ensure all production rack tags are accurate for inventory and material is stacked and stored properly for final delivery to customer
- Arrange racks on trains appropriately to be processed in the aging oven
- Manually load and unload materials from skids and racks
- Accurately weigh and record materials
- Maintain a safe and clean workspace at all times
- Responsible to follow the Occupational Health and Safety Act and all Can Art Company Policies
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid forklift license (counterbalance)
- Minimum 2 years' experience driving a forklift
- Experience in a manufacturing plant is an asset
- Experience with a combi lift is an asset
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to perform well under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic computer skills are required
- Knowledge of health and safety best practices in a manufacturing environment
- Plant Environment
- Twelve hour rotating continental shift
- Exposure to loud noise and heat
- May be required to lift up to 50lbs
